Andy Burnham's recent proposal for deeper Scottish devolution has been criticized as a gaffe. The offer comes amid ongoing discussions about the independence of Scotland and devolution. Burnham has invited Nicola Sturgeon to work together on this issue. However, critics argue that the timing of the proposal is ill-timed given the ongoing debates. Some commentators have suggested that Burnham's move could undermine the chances of a peaceful resolution to the ongoing political crisis in Scotland. Others argue that the proposal could further exacerbate relations between the UK government and the Scottish authorities. The disputed proposal has also raised questions about Burnham's political intentions and whether he is aiming to capitalize on the ongoing debates.
